I used to write another blog several years ago. I blogged for 7 plus years and decided to take a break.
On that blog, I used to write about the simple pleasures of life.
I used this quote then and I will use it now:
I still agree with this quote today.
In my thirties, I began reading my Bible more and I started Beth Moore's Bible studies at my church and it is through these studies that I felt convicted of not slowing down and enjoying the small things in life. I was always looking at the bigger picture and trying to figure life out after my divorce and being a single mom. It was always days of rush, rush, rush.
I knew that I needed to slow down and start living one day at a time and trust God to meet our daily needs. That's easier said than done. Just being honest.
When I started slowing down and being intentional about my surroundings and taking the time to watch a sunrise or a sunset, that is when I began enjoying life.
It made all the difference for me. Life is hard but I believe it's in those moments that we can sit at Starbucks with a friend or sit at the beach and relax with a good book, or listen to the sound of the ocean and many other things that mean the most in life.
This is what this blog will be about.
Sharing about the little things in life that bring enjoyment.
